15 Steps to Wholeness-Psalms of Ascent

Please take a look at my book that focuses on 15 Steps that will help you get to that next place of healing, cleansing and transformation.  This does not replace the 12 Steps, but can help you get closer to the healer.

Take a look at Yaakov Paley's explanation of the 15 steps. https://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/429856/jewish/The-Fifteen-Steps.htm

And, another site that speaks on the steps:  https://www.onepagebiblesummary.com/bat/bat_03.php

After 2 years of being on and off the streets, in and out of drug rehab programs, staying in hotels, getting car jacked, held up by gun point and losing his dog and personal belongings, my son is finally getting his life back to normal. He bought another car, he started working and had surgery on his shoulder that reinjured his tendons and is waiting to start a new higher paying job. I didn't think it was possible for him to start over with our help but I was wrong. Thankfully, he did all we asked of him and is over 3 months clean and sober.

All things are possible with God. I have found that without family behind the addict, recovery is almost impossible. If you are reading this and contemplating helping your loved one that is still in the streets, or addicted, please ask them to tell the truth about what they want, so that a new life can begin.

Church, fellowship and prayer are a must for recovery as well as supervision and a plan to get healed. The addict must be committed and must follow all agreements set forth.  However, even though there may be setbacks, or mistakes along the way, that doesn't mean he or she isn't willing.

Just love them and see what God does.

Progress House Sacramento County

If you are ready to make a change and leave the world of addiction, homelessness, sadness, crime and Godlessness behind, there is help out there.  However, you must run after it.  Contact your county program for change.  Tell them you are ready to commit to going to a live in program and they will help you make that change.

https://dhs.saccounty.gov/BHS/Pages/Mental-Health-Services.aspx

My son finally made that choice after getting kicked out of 3 previous programs that were private. By far, this county funded program is the best yet!

Don't give up hope. I am praying for you.

Whenever I see a homeless person walking on the street, talking, or yelling at no one. I know that person needs serious help and is most likely suffering from mental illness.  Mental illness that comes with being homeless is how our mind copes with it.

Please, if you see someone that needs help on the street, direct them to a county program.

Thank you!

Altars

There is another important aspect that governs all altars. All attendants to an altar receive their food or provision from God or the demon-god over the altar they serve. In the sixth chapter of Matthew's gospel, Jesus admonished his disciples not to worry about what they are going to eat or what they will wear. Why? Jesus knew this principle of altars. Most importantly, the menu at any altar is determined by God or the idol (demon-god) behind the altar.

That is why an attendant to the altar of the LORD feeds on righteousness, peace, joy, love, godly prosperity, long-suffering, and so forth. However, any attendant to the altar of an idol also eats what the demon-god eats. Consequently, if the idol is a demon of sexual perversion, the attendant will feast on pornography, fornication, adultery, masturbation, even pedophilia in certain instances. Why? Because according to the law of altars, God, or the idol behind the altar, determines the menu. One of the quickest ways to determine whether a person is serving God or an idol is to note what they are addicted to. An addict is simply a human attendant to an altar of addiction in their soul, so when the idol behind the altar is hungry, these people will start looking for the food (drugs, alcohol, heroin or gambling, etc.) the idol eats. The idol will riot to such an extent that these people will not rest until the idol is fed!

Pray against these altars and serve Christ so that you don't have this or these addiction(s).

Grief During the Holidays

 The Lowest Point

Day 115

“The bottom is a lot deeper than you would even think,” says Dr. John Trent.

If you feel as if these dark days will never pass, we want to assure you that there is hope because of Jesus. He suffered and died and rose again on the third day.

Those early disciples saw Jesus put to death on a cross and were as hopeless as anyone ever was. All their dreams and hopes died with Him. Yet when they saw Jesus alive from the dead, it changed everything.

Even during the heaviest, most hurtful times of your grieving experience, you, too, can share the hope that only Jesus brings.

“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure” (Hebrews 6:19).

Jesus, my hope is in You. Amen.

DOPESICK

I've been watching this new program on Hulu and thought it would be beneficial for this group to mention it.  If you want to see the real effects of opioids on humanity, then watch this series. If you are sensitive to watching people go through this hell, then I don't recommend watching it. OC or oxy i.e oxycodone is highly addictive, please only use it as directed. Once your doctor tells you to increase your dosage, you are in trouble and should stop using it because that means its not working for you for pain management. It is not meant for long term usage because your tolerance to it increases over a short amount of time and you become addicted.

God bless you. And may the Lord Jesus heal you and comfort you.
